  • DS-160 form– what are disqualifying mistakes

    Hey guys

I am in a kindda specific situation asking anybody of you to help me.

Namely, I am applying for a renewal of B visa type since my valid visa in my old passport was canceled by police officer's mistake when she was canceling my old passport.
Anyhow, I filled in DS-160 form yesterday but immediately after sending it I realized I made a mistake by filling in an expiration date of that valid visa (the error was made only with the day, month and year are correct). Is that considered to be a disqualifying mistake?

Other than that I will not have to go to American embassy for an interview this time but to submit all the documentation by post only. I am afraid since I will not have the opportunity to point them on this error. Or I will really have to make a new DS-160?

Many thanks in advance to all!

I would suggest to create new ds-160 form because you are not attending the visa interview.
This is not a legal advice. Use at your own risk.
